Classic remakes are the horror genre's equivalent of live action remakes. Big budget bonanza that usually shits on the concept of story telling. I have no expectations, they cast Imogen Poots in it. level 1 Thank God nobody is forcing you to see it level 1 How about we let all flowers bloom? The remake happening doesn't really take away from the quality of the original. And who knows, maybe it's just the trailer that is a dud and we actually get a good movie this time? In time we've had already so many succesful remakes that I don't think it's automatically a sign of low quality. There's always room for surprise these days! level 2 Fair enough response. Think about how traumatic and terrible that mustve been for her, and then the pain of dying. Not wanting, at all, to die. Dying young. Her mother was distraught. I hate that she had to get hurt. Its was a very frustrating watch for a slasher movie as it barely has any murder or mayhem, the kills are a split second then off screen. Highly odd for Black Christmas if u judge it by the 2006 BC. Although i did read it that this one was initially an R-Rated movie but was cut to be a PG-13 and it REALLY shows in its final result.
The twist of the story which is different from the two previous films is not as effective for me. Seemed kinda ridiculous, especially if the result of the movie was different.
Its a very talky movie, more of a drama for the most part, female issues against men and certain men in the story. Takes up most of the movie.
The characters all make stupid decisions, which u can usually forgive as its the horror genre but this one is all the more frustrating since they presume they're all so intelligent and awesome. but they're just as dumb as potato. The men are portrayed as equally stoopid. It feels like a bad 80s's B-movie slasher you haven't heard of in that sense.
The final action sequence is pretty laughable and cringey, very far fetched and unbelievable.
Even with all the talky dramatic scenes, if there was just more action and suspense i'd definitely have rated it higher and wouldn't have seemed a waste of money.
Of all the movies i've seen at the cinema this year, this one would win the Razzie of the Year for me.

Although I will say that the fire fighter scenes were pretty intense regardless if they were only training or had to attend buildings that were on fire due to fireworks.

I have been 5 times on La Gomera and was fishing in all of the major freshwater lakes. I had seen huge carps myself. BTW, fishing in the freshwater lakes is free but you do need a permit from islands goverment. Years ago it was a struggle to receive it but I did in the end. Almost noone fishes in these lakes, so there is quite a lot of fish. There is lots of black bass but Tilapia and catfish can also be found. Black bass and tilapia I caught myself. Catfish was a reported by a local fishermen.
